- Without the trade mission format, it would be impossible to set up forty LP meetings in one day with pre-qualified, potential LPs. It would require multiple days and multiple trips. This is a major benefit in terms of dollars, time and energy saved.
- The same level of meetings would probably require a minimum of two to three trips to meet the same number of high-level people. These additional trips alone are equivalent to or will cost more than the Trade Mission in terms of airfare and hotel.
- A placement agent would also charge you a commission on your earned management fee and on your performance fee. There are no commissions charged on ANY investments you receive during the Trade Mission.

Mr. Korosh Farazad – Respected Founder and Chairman of Farazad Group & CEO of Farazad Investments Hong Kong, is renowned within the industry as a pioneer on several fronts. Over the years, he has established a strong platform within the banking industry. Ismael Hajjar is the EY Private Leader for the MENA region and an advisor to ambitious owners, entrepreneurs and CEOs of leading private, fast growth and family enterprises. He also founded and currently leads EY MENA family enterprise and family office award-winning consulting practice which specializes in assisting successful families, entrepreneurs and family offices across MENA managing risks, preserving and growing wealth.

He is a regular speaker in the GCC and beyond on topics such as family business and private wealth institutionalization, global tax transparency, succession planning and the role of the family office. The family office consulting practice that he leads has won numerous awards over the years including most recently: “Best Estate Planning Service”, “Best Family Office Governance Service” and “Best Family Office Advisory Offering” at the WealthBriefing GCC Region Awards 2020.
Education: Ismael holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, HEC-Ulg School of Management (Belgium) and is a certified chartered accountant in Luxembourg (“expert-compatible”). He also holds an Islamic finance qualification, Institute of Islamic Banking & Insurance (UK). Ismael is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP, Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and holds a Certificate in Family Business Advising (CFBA, Family Firm Institute).
Rishi Kapoor is Investcorp’ s Co-Chief Executive Officer. He oversees the Firm’s Private Equity businesses in North America and India, as well as the Real Estate, Credit Management, Absolute Returns and Strategic Capital businesses globally.
Prior to his appointment as Co-CEO, Rishi had held several senior management positions within Investcorp including as Chief Financial Officer between 2003 and 2015. He joined Investcorp from Citigroup in 1992.
Rishi holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Rishi is a member of Duke University’s Middle East regional advisory board. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for National Bank of Bahrain, Gulf Air Group, Bahrain Airport Company and Gulf Aviation Academy.
In 2019, Rishi was recognized by Forbes Middle East as one of the top 10 Indian executives making an impact in the Middle East, and Top CEO Middle East recognized Rishi as one of the top CEOs in the GCC financial services and investment sector.
Mr. Khoury is Managing Partner & Chief Exit Officer with Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP), one of the leading late-stage Technology Venture Capital (VC) asset managers in the MENA region. MEVP is a technology VC asset manager regulated by both the DFSA and ADGM.
Mr. Khoury has extensive experience in venture capital, private equity and advisory, having executed more than US$5 billion in transactions and raised more than US$2 billion in capital.
Mr. Khoury currently serves on 1) the Board of Directors of Palmboard Technology Holdings, a developer of palm leaves-based engineered wood manufacturing plants in MENA, and 2) the Advisory Board of Kalaam Telecom, a Bahrain-based Integrated Telecom Services provider.
Previously, Mr. Khoury was the Chief Executive Officer of DIC Emerging Markets, in charge of Dubai International Capital’s (DIC) investment portfolio in the MENA region in addition to Turkey, Asia and Latin America. DIC is the international investment arm of the Dubai–based conglomerate Dubai Holding. At DIC, Mr. Khoury was responsible for deal flow origination, execution, portfolio company management and exits across Emerging Markets.
Mr. Khoury served on the Board of Directors of ART Marine, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise Airports Division, CB Richard Ellis Dubai and Middle East, Energy Management Services, Ishraq Gulf Real Estate Holding Company, Jordan Dubai Capital, Jordinvest, Rivoli Holdings, and the MENA Infrastructure Fund. In addition, Mr. Khoury represented DIC on the investment committees of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (as Chairman), Jordan Dubai Capital and the MENA Infrastructure Fund. He is also a member of the Arab Bankers Association of North America (ABANA).
In New York, Mr. Khoury was a founding member of the Media & Telecom Group with Banc of America Securities, focusing on Mergers and Acquisitions, where he led broad financial advisory and restructuring services for a number of major public US corporations. He also worked for Prudential Securities as an Equity Research Analyst covering the Oilfield Services & Equipment sector.
In San Francisco, Mr. Khoury was a Senior Engineering Manager with URS Corporation, the world’s largest engineering design firm, where he developed new service offerings for the Technology, Biotech and Energy sectors. He worked on the seismic rehabilitation of a number of San Francisco landmarks such as the San Francisco Civic Auditorium, the San Francisco City Hall and the United States Custom House & Appraisers Building. In addition, Mr. Khoury worked on the seismic retrofit of a number of US nuclear power plants such as the Bellefonte Nuclear Plant, the Savannah River Plant, and the Hanford Nuclear Site, both for the US Department of Defense.
Mr. Khoury is a past member of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute, the Structural Engineering Association of Northern California, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the California Office of Emergency Services. He is also the recipient of the Giles Scholarship Award for outstanding contributions to the Structural Engineering Association of Northern California, and was a Registered Civil Engineer in the State of California.
Mr. Khoury received his MBA from Columbia University and was selected as 1 of 3 candidates in the US as part of Exxon’s International Management Program. He also received his MS in Structural Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and was admitted to the Ph.D. program. In addition, he received a Bachelor of Engineering with Distinction from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and graduated with Honors from Lebanon’s International College.
Mr. Khoury is a Founding Member of the Dubai Chapter of LIFE (Lebanese International Finance Executives). In addition, Mr. Khoury is a past President of the New York Chapter and Vice President of the Northern California Chapter, both as part of AUB’s Alumni Association of North America.
Samer is the Managing Partner of Al Tamimi & Company; the leading full service law firm in MENA with 17 offices in 9 countries. He also heads the firm’s Corporate Structuring Department, a team of lawyers spread across Al Tamimi’s offices in the region.
Samer has extensive experience of over two decades in structuring and restructuring entities and businesses for clients operating throughout the Gulf and the broader Middle East region.
He has wide ranging experience advising major blue chip organisations, financial institutions, government and semi-government concerns, SMEs, private equity funds, FMCG’s and TMT companies on a wide range of issues, in particular M&A transactions, legal due diligence, joint ventures, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, agency law issues, regulatory affairs, electronic transactions and other corporate law related issues.
On the legislative side, Samer has been involved in the enactment of a number of local and federal laws and had led the legislative developments of the laws of free zones and special economic zones across the GCC.
Samer is also an experienced litigator which has given him a deep understanding of the legal and judiciary systems of the United Arab Emirates and he has drafted court pleadings in complex civil and commercial matters.
Samer joined Al Tamimi & Company in 1999 and has been a partner since 2007 and was elected as the Managing Partner of the firm with effect from January 2020.

Each U.S. Fund Manager will have a virtual private room where he will be the only GP in the room and will meet virtually with the LPs. Each GP will receive an Ebook one week ahead of the Trade Mission with full contact and background information on each LP they will be meeting. They will meet with every LP in attendance in twenty-minute speed dating sessions.
