Carman Chan has 20 years of experience as a Serial Entrepreneur, Tech Columnist, Venture Capitalist, and International Speaker across ten countries. Carman has started to focus on investing in other emerging VC managers as an LP since 2022. Carman is the author of best-selling accelerated learning books. Her first startup, EnglishStreet (ES) became a business case at the Harvard’s Business Review Database. ES was acquired by the Hong Kong Economic Times (0423.HK). Her second startup, Click Limited, has the first CFO of Tencent, Patrick Tsang and the founder of Cherubic Ventures, Matt Cheng, as investors. Click Limited merged with Hiiir Inc. and was acquired by FastEastone (4904.TW). Carman was frequently interviewed by major media such as Harper Bazaar, Wall Street Journal and SCMP. She was in the cover story of Nikkei Asia Review as Top 5 Women-to-Watch in Asian Tech. Carman founded Click Ventures in 2015 and its first fund became the only seed fund from Asia to make the Top 5 Seed fund (Vintage 2013-2015) by performance, while its second fund became the Top 1 in the Fund to Watch category by performance in Preqin’s Top Performing Ventures Capital Funds Report in March 2018. From 2019 to 2021, Click Ventures has been named Consistent Top Performing Venture Capital Fund Manager globally by Preqin! In 2022, Click Ventures has launched an Impact Initiative and is selected by World Economic Forum as one of the 17 Top Innovative Funds.

As one of the co-founders of Thrive, Jackson focuses on helping alternative asset managers open up to new markets and achieve their next wave of growth. Jackson was the co-head of Asia for Eaton Partners and at that time he worked hand in hand with the other co-founders of Thrive. Together they built one of the most successful and award-winning GP advisory businesses in the region. Prior to joining Eaton Partners, Jackson built the Asia business for Hamilton Lane and headed business development for the firm. Jackson has been a pioneer and first mover in Asia’s alternative industry in the last 25 years. He has helped many institutions start their alternative investment programs, and has worked with numerous prominent global players building their Asia presence. He is also known for his success in assisting a number of first-time funds launch their business and for his innovation in creating different structures and solutions for both LPs and GPs in complicated transactions. ‍ Jackson was born in Hong Kong, grew up in Australia and now lives in Hong Kong, leading Thrive’s business in Asia. He is both a sailor and a snowboarder. He also serves a number of non-profit associations in HK, the most recent one being the HKYWCA.
