What are the cost benefits of participating in Trade Missions?
In less than 4 months, I met more than 200 LP’s in 5 cities on 3 continents. This required an average of two days per city including travel at an average, all-in cost of $300 per meeting. As the founding partner of a new fund, this experience has provided invaluable, first-hand insight into the differing needs by LP region and size, local market dynamics and face to face reaction to our product offering and messaging. For perspective, it would cost at least four times more and take an equal multiple of time to achieve the same results. In other words, 3 months full time with out-of-pocket costs in excess of $300,000! - Without the trade mission format, it would be impossible to set up 20-30 LP meetings in one day with pre-qualified potential LPs. It would require multiple days and multiple trips. This is a major benefit in terms of dollars, time and energy saved.
- The same level of meetings would probably require a minimum of two to three trips to meet the same number of high-level people. These additional trips alone are equivalent to or will cost more than the Trade Mission in terms of airfare and hotel.
- A placement agent would also charge you a commission on your earned management fee and on your performance fee. There are no commissions charged on ANY investments you receive during the Trade Mission.
- There is a cost in time and energy involved in identifying prospects, securing contact info, contacting the prospects, convincing them to meet and then coordinating the schedule in an efficient manner. The Trade Mission takes place on one day. This is a major advantage and a significant save in time, expense and opportunity cost. As we all know, "Time is Money".

Jehan is also Co-Founder of Social Alpha Foundation, and is a Global Patron of SF Museum of Modern Art, Kauffman Fellow , Vice Chairman of Para Site Art Space, and Director’s Circle of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
Sandra Wu is a Founding Partner at Origin X Capital. She has 12+ years of experience working for Wall Street law firms in Hong Kong and Sydney, like Weil Gotshal, Kirkland & Ellis and Skadden Arps, as a Corporate M&A, private equity fund formation and securities lawyer.
As blockchain and digital assets investor, Sandra has advised various companies on the regulatory complexities of tax, legal & corporate compliance laws in the Asia-Pacific region as it pertains to financial and distributed ledger technologies, digital assets and the innovative capital raising techniques.
Sandra is also the former Head of Legal & Chief Compliance Officer at Mercer, an investment consulting & asset management company that is part of the listed MMC Group on NYSE. Currently, she serves as the President of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) and a Founding Member of the Blockchain Steering Committee of the ACC. She is also the legal & compliance advisor to various US & Asian family offices and the strategic advisor to emerging and established digital asset fund managers in the Asia Pacific.
Sandra’s combined knowledge of the legal complexities governing Asia’s financial markets, and the growing digital assets market, lend her a unique perspective on the future of blockchain development and the regulation of cryptocurrencies in Asia.
Julian Kwan is CEO of InvestaX, a capital markets licensed digital securities platform headquartered in Singapore providing issuance, investment, custody and divestment of private equity and real estate digital securities.
The Singapore based entrepreneur is recognized as a leader in the proptech and blockchain space and is the first mentor for the JLL/Lendlease proptech accelerator propell and has been invited to speak at over 200+ conferences in the region.
He has a passion for constant learning by building better and alternative platforms and systems for the benefit of more not less, and being early at the forefront of change.
He maintains advisory roles with multi-family offices investing into real estate, proptech and blockchain startups through his family office 2H Capital, is an EIR (Entrepreneur in Residence) at INSEAD, and a member of ACCESS (Singapore Blockchain Cryptocurrency Association) and GITA (Global Initiative for Token Alliance).
Alice Chen is the Co-founder and General Counsel for InvestaX. InvestaX is a MAS licensed platform offering end-to-end solutions for the primary issuance, fundraising and life-cycle management of digital securities in the private securities market, specifically private equity, real estate and venture capital. InvestaX is also building a secondary exchange for trading tokenised securities. Alice spent more than 10 years in private practice with prominent international law firms (Skadden Arps, DLA Piper) in the areas of corporate and real estate law across multiple jurisdictions (US, China and Japan) prior to her entrepreneurial journey. Alice is actively engaged in the Fintech and blockchain communities in Singapore and beyond, regularly speaking, presenting and mentoring in the areas of Fintech, blockchain and entrepreneurship. Pioneering a new industry requires her to constantly engage with regulators, policymakers and multilateral agencies across markets. She is a founding member and/or committee member of various industry advocate groups for blockchain adoption (GITA, ACCESS, Digital Exchange Association). She is also a guest lecturer at Singapore Management University Academy in the area of Digital Assets and Blockchain.
Yiu Joe Toh, has over 30 years experience in asset management involving both public and private assets, and working with private family groups, private banks and private equity firms.

Professor Renee Leibler is a General Partner and Co-Founder of Harmonic Chain, a firm investing in early stage emerging technologies specifically blockchain infrastructure. Ms. Leibler brings over 15 years of experience in the tech startup space and is also the Founder and President of the NYU Stern Blockchain Digital Asset Forum. Ms. Leibler is a professor teaching entrepreneurship and has co-authored courses in blockchain and cognitive entrepreneurship. Ms. Leibler has had experience as an entrepreneur in the mobile technology space as well as real estate and the equine industry. She brings this experience and perspective to Harmonic Chain.
She hold an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business specializing in entrepreneurship and finance and a B.A. Psychology from Case Western Reserve University and attended the University of Reading, UK for International Politics.
Heidi Pease, As a leader in the Los Angeles blockchain community, Heidi co-founded the Los Angeles Blockchain Lab — a collaboration of academia, government, enterprise, and community focused on developing the blockchain ecosystem in Southern California and abroad.
Alex Nascimento, MA, MBA is a faculty member and Co-founder of the UCLA Blockchain Lab & Blockchain at UCLA where he lectures on Blockchain Business Applications and Security Tokens in addition to his role of Managing Director of 7CC – Blockchain Investments, a company focused on supporting & fostering the Blockchain industry.
Alex got his MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and has developed training, marketing & blockchain strategies for companies in the United States, Latin America, and Asia.

Flavio Mansi, Since the end of 2017 Flavio has been leading a group of highly talented individuals who are developing the TessaB blockchain ecosystem. He has gained distinct insight and experience in the technology industry sphere, having spent 16 years at Qualcomm with roles that included Senior Vice President and President of Qualcomm Latin America. More recently, Flavio joined PCS Wireless as Chief Commercial Officer in 2014 and has held several roles within the PCS group of companies. Flavio is passionate about the great opportunity TessaB has to revolutionize the way people buy and sell mobile devices and related services, while introducing cryptocurrency to a mass consumer audience.
Mattan Lurie, heads the PE area for Lan Kwai Fong, a leading Hong Kong family office. It has investments in real estate and healthcare, and is increasingly active in Blockchain investing.
Mattan was previously an investment officer at Fosun Group and Hony Capital. Prior, he was in the real estate PE fund of CLSA.
